Having started his career as a management trainee with Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Co. in 1983 he moved on after 5 years and joined the Tata Watch Project (initiated at Tata Press Ltd.)

It was then when he left NDDB and started a Learning Centre in Bhagalpur, Bihar named “LAKSHYA Centre for Learning” with a vision to create a school with the concept of innovative learning to be made available to underprivileged students and students belonging to rural areas of BIHAR having no access to proper education system free of cost.

Shrikant has 30 years of leadership experience with Citibank, GE Capital, Agilent Technologies, and as an entrepreneur. His career has spanned Singapore, Korea, Saudi Arabia and India - including Banking, IT Enabled Services, and BPO industries. He retains an abiding interest in India - its history, culture, socio-economic development, politics, and place in the world.
